IN 2011, JONATHAN CAMPBELL (JUILLIARD SCHOOL BFA) AND AUSTIN DIAZ (NYU TISCH SCHOOL OF THE ARTS BFA) CO-FOUNDED MADBOOTS DANCE. THE HYPER-PHYSICAL, PROVOCATIVE ENSEMBLE WAS NAMED “25 TO WATCH” BY DANCE MAGAZINE IN 2016 AND HAS REACHED AUDIENCES NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY, MINING TOPICS OF MALE IDENTITY AND QUEER CULTURE. THE COMPANY HAD THE HONOR OF PERFORMING AT THE JOYCE THEATER, IN THE THEATER'S FIRST-EVER LGBTQ+ PRIDE WEEK, AS WELL AS PERFORMING WORKS AT — JACOB'S PILLOW DANCE FESTIVAL'S DORIS DUKE THEATRE, CHUTZPAH! FESTIVAL (VANCOUVER), OFF THE EDGE FESTIVAL AT THE RIALTO (ATLANTA), FIRE ISLAND DANCE FESTIVAL, VELOCITY DANCE CENTER (SEATTLE), HUDSON VALLEY DANCE FESTIVAL, THE 92ND STREET Y, TISCH SCHOOL OF THE ARTS, GIBNEY DANCE CENTER, AND DAVID MIXNER'S 1969 BENEFIT PERFORMANCE.

PRESENTLY, CAMPBELL AND DIAZ CONTINUE TO CREATE COMPELLING, ORIGINAL WORKS FOR MADBOOTS, AS WELL AS, TEACH BOTH EMERGING AND PROFESSIONAL DANCERS AROUND THE NATION THROUGH THEIR UNIQUE VOICE AND MOVEMENT LANGUAGE. THE DUO HAS BEEN COMMISSIONED BY SCHOOLS AND COMPANIES, SUCH AS, NYU TISCH SCHOOL OF THE ARTS, SUNY PURCHASE, BOSTON CONSERVATORY AT BERKLEE, POINT PARK UNIVERSITY, WHIM W'HIM, AND DARK CIRCLES CONTEMPORARY DANCE. AS CREATORS, CAMPBELL & DIAZ HAVE RECEIVED TWO CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT RESIDENCIES AT JACOB'S PILLOW, AS WELL AS, SPACE GRANTS FROM THE JOYCE THEATER FOUNDATION'S ARTIST RESIDENCY CENTER, INCEPTION TO EXHIBITION, DANCENOW, GIBNEY DANCE CENTER, AND VELOCITY DANCE CENTER.

THE NEW YORK TIMES HAS NOTED CAMPBELL AND DIAZ'S "DARK THEATRICALITY AND UNASHAMED INTIMACY".

JEFF HAS ALSO TRAINED UNDER AND PERFORMED THE REPERTORY WORKS OF RUBBERBANDANCE GROUP, PETER CHU (CHUTHIS.), AND BRIAN ARIAS & COMPANY.

AN OHIO NATIVE, IS A YOUNGARTS MODERN DANCE WINNER AND 2013 U.S. PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLAR IN THE ARTS. HE GRADUATED FROM THE JUILLIARD SCHOOL (UNDER LAWRENCE RHODES) WITH A BFA IN DANCE IN 2017. SEAN RECEIVED THE JUILLIARD CAREER ADVANCEMENT FELLOWSHIP AND THE HECTOR ZARASPE PRIZE FOR CHOREOGRAPHY (2017), HAVING PIECES SHOWCASED AT JUILLIARD AND ELSEWHERE. HE IS A DANCER WITH GALLIM DANCE (UNDER ANDREA MILLER) IN ADDITION TO WRITING AND PRACTICING REIKI.

IS A BROOKLYN-BASED DANCER WHO CURRENTLY PERFORMS WITH THE BRIAN BROOKS MOVING COMPANY AND PAM TANOWITZ DANCE. VICTOR HAS ALSO PERFORMED AS A GUEST ARTIST WITH THE LAR LUBOVITCH DANCE COMPANY AND KATE WEARE COMPANY. HE IS A GRADUATE OF THE JUILLIARD SCHOOL (B.F.A.) AND A FELLOW OF THE JUILLIARD CAREER ADVANCEMENT AWARD (2016). VICTOR IS ORIGINALLY FROM HOUSTON, TX.

BEGAN TRAINING WITH CÉSAR DEGOLLADO WHILE ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA. SINCE LEAVING SCHOOL HE HAS WORKED WITH ATE9 DANCE COMPANY, LUNA NEGRA DANCE THEATRE, COCODACO DANCE PROJECT, MOVING PEOPLE DANCE SANTA FE, LONI LANDON, ALEX KETLEY, RODERICK GEORGE, & KEVIN JENKINS. DAVID CURRENTLY SERVES AS INTERIM ARTISTIC DIRECTOR OF COCODACO DANCE PROJECT.

BORN IN ABU DHABI, U.A.E, AND RAISED IN PORTLAND, OR. HE BEGAN HIS TRAINING AT AGE 16, AND RECEIVED A BFA IN DANCE FROM CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS IN 2015. HE’S RECEIVED SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING FROM THE SAN FRANCISCO CONSERVATORY OF DANCE, PITTSBURGH BALLET THEATRE, AND LINES BALLET. AFTER GRADUATING, TARIQ FREELANCED AS A DANCER FOR ROSANNA GAMSON WORLDWIDE, WHYTEBERG DUO LAURA BERG & GRACIE WHYTE, BESSIE AWARD WINNER JULIE BOUR, LIMON COMPANY ARTISTIC DIRECTOR COLIN CONNOR, REBECCA LEMME’S ACTS OF MATTER, AND THE DES MOINES METRO OPERA. HE'S PERFORMED WORKS BY SIDRA BELL, CHRISTIAN BURNS, JONATHON FREDRICKSON, PRICE SUDDARTH, OHAD NAHARIN, AND MORE. IN 2016, HE WAS A PARTICIPANT IN THE 13TH ANNUAL SEOUL INTERNATIONAL DANCE COMPETITION. TARIQ IS CURRENTLY BASED IN SEATTLE, WA AND DANCES FOR KATE WALLICH & THE YC2, AND ELLA MAHLER.

WAS BORN IN MEDELLÍN, COLOMBIA AND RAISED IN DENVER, COLORADO. PAUL GRADUATED FROM NYU TISCH WITH A BFA IN DANCE IN 2017. HE HAS ATTENDED THE JACOB’S PILLOW CONTEMPORARY PROGRAM (2016) AND SPRINGBOARD DANS MONTREAL (2017). UPON GRADUATION, PAUL WORKED WITH GALLIM DANCE ON ANDREA MILLER’S WORLD PREMIERE AT THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART. PAUL CURRENTLY PERFORMS WITH COMPANYSBB STEFANIE BATTEN-BLAND AND RASHAUN + SILAS.

IS ORIGINALLY FROM HONOLULU, HI. SPENCER BEGAN HIS FORMAL TRAINING AT THE AGE OF NINETEEN, STUDYING CLASSICAL BALLET AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT MANOA UNDER FORMER NETHERLANDS DANS THEATRE COMPANY MEMBER, EVE WALSTRUM SANDERS. AFTER STUDYING AND TRAINING FOR A YEAR, SPENCER WAS ACCEPTED INTO SUNY PURCHASE CONSERVATORY OF DANCE'S CLASS OF 2017. IN THE FALL OF 2015, HE WAS CHOSEN TO STUDY ABROAD AT LONDON CONTEMPORARY DANCE SCHOOL. SPENCER HAS PERFORMED WORKS BY MERCE CUNNINGHAM, OHAD NAHARIN, DOUG VARONE, SHARON EYAL, KIMBERLY BARTOSIK, EVANGELOS POPLINS AND MORE. HE HAS ALSO STUDIED AT LONDON CONTEMPORARY DANCE SCHOOL, SPRINGBOARD DANSE MONTREAL AND WITH THE MERCE CUNNINGHAM TRUST.

IS A MOVING IMAGE-MAKER AND WRITER BASED IN NEW YORK CITY. RAISED ON CAPE COD, HE RELOCATED TO NYC IN 2O1O TO STUDY FILM AND VISUAL ART AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY. WHILE STILL A STUDENT, HE BEGAN TO SPECIALIZE PROFESSIONALLY IN VIDEO FOR DANCE, AND TO DEVELOP ORIGINAL WORKS AT THE INTERSECTION OF CLASSICAL FILMMAKING, DANCE AND VIDEO ART.

IS A NEW YORK CITY BASED LIGHTING DESIGNER FOR THEATER, DANCE, OPERA, AND EVENTS. SHE HOLDS AN MFA IN LIGHTING DESIGN FROM NYU-TISCH AND A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN THEATER FROM DARTMOUTH COLLEGE.
